Weldneck Flange

This type of flanges is attached to the pipe bybutt welding, mostly these flanges are used forcritical services. So these flanges are suitable forhandling extreme pressure and temperature andbecause of this feature, these flanges are mostlyused for petrochemical and refinery plants. Thebores of both the pipe and flange match and thiswould reduce the turbulence and erosion insidethe pipeline. The weld neck flanges are bored tothe ID of the pipe and it has a high neck intowhich the pipe is welded. This flange isconsidered the best welding flange due to itshigh, heavy neck.
